The Heckler
& Koch USP series is also available in 9mm and .40 S&W
with those magazines capacities being
15 shot and 13 shot
respectively. These polymer grip frame pistols are available in a
stainless finish and with
tritium night sights and can be had in
DAO (double action only) or SA/DA (single action/double action)
versions.
The pistols are ambidextrous and even the safety lever
can be reversed for left handed use. The horizontal cut-out
on
the foreward end of the reciever just under the barrel is a
mounting rail for a variety of accesories that
include a laser
system and a flash light illuminator. The standard version of the
H&K USP has been imported
from Germany since 1993.
